Workstation Functionality
This two-part unit provides all of the elements necessary to introduce students to basic industrial automation through the use of a simple and commonly-recognized theme park ride.
The unit contains:
- Controls hardware, including a controller, an AC drive with a HIM, a motor with an encoder, and an EtherNet/IP network
- An operator panel with pushbuttons, selector switches, and an HMI terminal
- A miniature Ferris wheel with sensor, warning lights, and decorative lights
Training Purpose
The workstation is designed to show automation hardware and demonstrate basic automation concepts. The unit comes pre-programmed and ready to use with minimal setup (plug in and turn on). You can observe and operate the fully functioning unit.
